Just in time for the Latin American country to reopen to all U.S. travelers, a boutique hotel in Costa Rica is getting ready to welcome visitors with holiday packages that will make you want to explore, all set against the backdrop of lush and beautiful landscapes and the enormous Pacific Ocean.
With just 14 rooms (including eight new suites available in December), the Tierra Magnifica offers a secluded retreat amidst the breathtaking natural surroundings that entice so many to Costa Rica. It reopens on November 1, the same day the country welcomes all American tourists back. Relax on your balcony with the jungle below you as you drift off to sleep, or listen to the distant cooing of the howler monkeys. To maximize their work-life balance, more people are working from home this year and extending their vacations from one week to two.
Guests of the five-star hotel can take advantage of a 30% discount on accommodation rates with the "Vacation Home Office" package after the new year if they want to stay for three weeks or longer. With in-room fiber-optic WiFi and a teak desk, as well as complimentary morning yoga to start the day off right (limited to 8 guests for social distancing), amenities like made-to-order breakfast, afternoon appetizers, and laundry included, Tierra Magnifica makes it easy to settle into paradise from Jan. 4, 2021 until December 2021.
Although it may be anxious to gather large groups of people for the holidays this year, resort bubbles provide an opportunity to safely reunite with loved ones while also making unforgettable memories.
Room rates at the Tierra Magnifica begin at $455 per night from December 19th through January 3rd, and the hotel provides a one-of-a-kind Christmas experience with tamale cooking workshops and holly and mistletoe in every room. Tamales are a popular holiday meal in Costa Rica. In the spirit of the season, the hotel is offering a daily "Social Sips" happy hour when guests can meet on their balconies, in the bar, or even on the hotel's Zoom channel to enjoy seasonal drinks.
After a hectic year, unwind with a stroll down the hotel's nature trail, pausing at the forest-side meditation terraces or going for a swim in the on-site waterfall. Those in search of excitement can sign up for surfing lessons or give stand-up paddleboarding a go amid a mangrove jungle.
Daily temperature checks, disinfecting luggage before it is brought to the rooms, and paying particular attention to cleaning common touchpoints in rooms like doorknobs, lamp switches, and window shutters are all part of Tierra Magnifica's COVID-19 safety protocols, which are in place to ensure the safety of guests.
Nov. 1 will mark the reopening of Costa Rica's borders to all U.S. tourists. At present, entry is granted to citizens of specific states; nevertheless, upon arrival, the majority of travelers are required to present their U.S. driver's license as proof of residency in one of these approved states.
