Staying at one of the three luxurious spas could be the ideal way to relax if you're hoping to minimize physical exertion throughout your vacation.

The peninsula is home to several five-star resorts and villas, so naturally there is an abundance of delectable, internationally inspired cuisine and drinks to choose from. 

Try the grass-fed local steaks at Nemare (Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica), the live ceviche station at Ostra (Andaz Costa Rica Resort), or the hand-rolled sushi at East Sushi & Teppanyaki Bar (Planet Hollywood Beach Resort). For those late-night cravings for pizza or chicken fingers, these resorts offer room service 24-7. You can always count on the seafood on Peninsula Papagayo to be fresh because of its proximity to ocean. Unless you consider a $1,500/night condo inexpensive, there aren't many affordable options for lodging on this secluded peninsula, even when using Airbnb. 

Resorts like the Andaz Costa Rica Resort, Planet Hollywood Beach Resort, and Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica are great options if you're on a budget. Among the peninsula's upcoming renovations are the Four Seasons and the Andaz; in October 2018, Planet Hollywood also made its debut.

Going to Peninsula Papagayo is well worth the extra money, even though it could take a bit longer to make this desire come true.
