Travel Experts on A-List have noticed an uptick in inquiries from couples seeking a romantic getaway that is completely disconnected from the outside world.
Take a peek at some of the exciting honeymoons that the best travel agents in the globe are arranging for newlyweds.
"The Valle Ascencio trail in Chile's Torres del Paine National Park is a full-day hike through steep, rocky moraine that ends with the most incredible vistas," Louisa Gehring, a honeymoon expert. "After, jump in the hot tub at the sublime Awasi Patagonia."
"Newlyweds can rock climb, horseback ride, and go fly-fishing — before bedding down in one of the property’s eight upscale tents," offers Jody Bear, an expert in destination weddings, of Colorado’s Dunton River Camp.
"Honeymooners rave about sharing the thrill of looking into the eyes of a gorilla," says Kara Bebell, a special events planner for destinations. The Silverback Suite at One&Only Gorilla's Nest, close to Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park, is her favorite base camp.
The Gili Islands in Indonesia are the best spot to start scuba diving because of the calm waters and excellent visibility, according to diving instructor Louisa Fisher. Sailing around the Indonesian isles in style aboard the five-cabin boat Rascal is her favorite way to experience the region.
"Taking to the sky is the peak of adventure," says Kristen Korey Pike, an expert on honeymoons. "I like New Zealand's Minaret Station, a low-key but chic lodge on the South Island accessible only by helicopter."
