Aqua Expeditions, renowned for its opulent river excursions in Southeast Asia and the Amazon, is a recent arrival to the Galápagos. The business unveiled its newest oceangoing vessel in May, the 150-foot, four-deck superyacht Aqua Mare, designed by an Italian architect and featuring just seven suites for a more personal experience. A cinema theater, an outdoor exercise space, satellite internet, and regional food prepared by Pedro Miguel Schiaffino, a Peruvian chef, are all available. Kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and hiking through environments teeming with animals are all included in the all-inclusive trips. Are you prepared to treat yourself? There are 860 square feet in the Owner's Suite.
Next year, AmaWaterways will launch its first multiday cruise on the once-essential Río Magdalena, featuring an all-suite boat with activities and excursions chosen by South American operator Metropolitan Touring. Commence in Barranquilla and conclude in Mompox, a town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its architectural significance and its part in the Latin American freedom movement led by Simón Bolívar. Kayaking, hiking, and bird-watching will all be included in the seven-night itineraries.
While most people visit Patagonia on foot, passengers on the brand-new, specially designed Esperanza ferry from Navimag will see a slowly moving landscape of spouting whales, glittering glaciers, and snow-capped peaks as they sail along the southern Chilean coast between Puerto Montt and Puerto Natales. The thousand-mile, four-day journey passes by several of the most well-known national parks in the nation, as well as Chiloé Island. During peak season, expect straightforward yet cozy accommodations with private toilets, substantial meals, onboard yoga and tai chi, and a crew that speaks only English.
